Privacy Policy
Last updated October 31, 2026
Audacious AF runs audaciousaf.com, our events, and our membership. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
What we collect
What you give us.
- Newsletter signup: your email address.
- Membership application: your name, email, LinkedIn and other links you share, your role and company, and your answers about your experience, your goals with AI, and how you'd take part.
- Partner or team inquiry: your name, company, email, the kind of partnership or team size, and your message.
- Event registration: what you enter when you register on our registration platform (Luma), such as your name, email, and registration answers.
- Membership payments: billing details, handled by our payment processor. We don't see or store your full card number.
- Member directory: if you choose to appear in it, your profile and the posts you share there.
- Emails and conduct reports: whatever you choose to tell us.
What we collect automatically.
- Campaign source. If you arrive from a link with campaign tags (such as
utm_source), we save the source, medium, and campaign with your signup so we know which channels bring people in. - Site usage. Pages you visit, links and buttons you click, form submissions, your IP address and general location (city or region), device and browser type, and the site you came from. We may also record how visitors move through pages (clicks, scrolling, page changes) to find and fix usability problems.
- Errors. If something breaks on the site, we log technical details so we can fix it.
- On your device. We store small notes in your browser, such as that you've already signed up and your analytics choice, so we don't keep asking.
At events. We may photograph or film some events for our website and social channels, and we'll say so at the event. Tell a host if you'd rather not appear. We also record who attended so we can run RSVPs, guest passes, and member matching.
Putting it together. We may combine what you tell us with your event attendance and how you use our site, for example to review an application or plan events.
We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How we use it
- To send the newsletter and updates you signed up for.
- To review membership applications.
- To run membership: billing, RSVPs, guest passes, member matching, and onboarding.
- To answer partner and team inquiries.
- To plan events and understand what's working on the site.
- To keep the community safe, including handling conduct reports.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Emails from us. If you register for an event or sign up on our site, we may email you about Audacious AF events and membership. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Member matching. To make one-to-one introductions, we use what you've told us, like your role and what you're building, to pair you with another member. We share only what's needed for the introduction.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Our analytics tools (Google Analytics and PostHog) use cookies and similar browser storage to recognize return visits and measure how the site is used. We also use browser storage for the notes described above.
You can decline analytics cookies with the analytics notice, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works if you do.
Who helps us
We use service providers to run the site and community: email and newsletter tools, event registration and payments, website hosting and content, analytics and error tracking, and form delivery. They handle your information on our behalf and only to provide those services.
Who we share it with
- Event sponsors. When an event lists a sponsor, we may share your name and email with that sponsor if they're added as a host on our registration platform. Sponsors may contact you under their own privacy policies.
- Other members. If you choose to appear in the member directory, other members can see your profile and posts in the member portal. Member matching shares only what's needed for an introduction.
- The law. We'll share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
- If the business changes. If Audacious AF is merged, acquired, or reorganized, your information may transfer as part of that, and this policy will still apply to it.
- With your OK. For any other reason we tell you about when we ask, and only if you agree.
- Totals, not individuals. We may share combined or de-identified numbers, like how many people attended an event, that don't identify you.
Your choices
- Emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- See, correct, or delete your information. Email hello@audaciousaf.com and we'll respond promptly. Payment and tax records we're required to keep stay as long as the law requires.
- Analytics. Choose Decline on the analytics notice and we stop reading or writing first-party analytics cookies: Google Analytics stops using cookies, and PostHog stops collecting. Google Analytics may still receive limited measurement signals without cookies, and our host's basic visit counts don't use cookies. You can also block analytics in your browser or with a content blocker; the site still works.
- Do Not Track. Our site doesn't respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Use the analytics notice instead.
- Photos. Ask a host at the event, or email us to take a photo down.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the reasons in this policy: while you're subscribed, a member, or in touch with us, and afterward as long as needed to resolve questions, keep the community safe, or meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your information anytime.
Other sites
Our site links to other services, such as our registration platform, payment checkout, sponsors, and partner offers. This policy doesn't cover them. Read their privacy policies before you give them your information.
Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers, limit who on our team can see personal information, and keep access keys out of public code. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
If you have a member account, keep your password private and your email account secure, since sign-in links go to your email. Tell us at hello@audaciousaf.com if you think someone else has used your account.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and tell members and subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
